ONE Industry Employment

Joining ONE Industries was a pivotal moment in my career, framed by the clear understanding that this engagement was set to be a transformative one-year turnaround project under the guidance of Jeffrey McGuane, who was the CEO at ONE Industries and has since become the CEO of FOX Racing. The magnitude of this turnaround effort was colossal, a narrative I plan to delve into more deeply in an upcoming blog post.

Initially brought on board to spearhead marketing and content creation, my role at ONE Industries quickly evolved, expanding into a more comprehensive leadership position. This expansion saw me not only managing the website and overseeing all content and digital advertising efforts but also taking on an unexpected yet thrilling challenge: managing the professional athlete teams associated with the brand.

ONE Industries, a renowned player in the motocross and mountain bike apparel, gear, and accessories sector, was at a critical juncture when I joined. The brand was in need of revitalization, requiring a fresh strategic approach to marketing, digital presence, and community engagement. My role quickly transcended the conventional boundaries of marketing and content creation, morphing into a multifaceted leadership position that was crucial for the brand’s revival.

Owning and rebuilding the website became one of my primary responsibilities, demanding a strategic overhaul to enhance user experience, e-commerce functionality, and overall brand representation online. (note: the website has now been changed and taken down) This task was pivotal in re-establishing ONE Industries’ digital footprint, ensuring that the website not only showcased the brand’s innovative products but also served as a hub for the vibrant community of motocross and mountain biking enthusiasts.

Content creation and digital advertising were central to our strategy to reignite the brand’s presence and engagement across digital platforms. By crafting compelling narratives and leveraging targeted advertising campaigns, we were able to capture the essence of the motocross and mountain biking cultures, resonating deeply with our audience and rekindling their passion for the brand.

Perhaps the most unexpected twist in my role at ONE Industries was taking over the management of the professional athlete teams. This aspect of the job added a dynamic layer to my responsibilities, blending marketing and brand management with the high-energy world of professional sports. Managing these teams was not just about sports management; it was about integrating these athletes into the core of our brand story, leveraging their achievements and personas to inspire our community and amplify the brand’s presence in the competitive sports arena.

In conclusion, my tenure at ONE Industries was a testament to the power of adaptive leadership and strategic innovation. What began as a focused role in marketing and content creation evolved into a comprehensive charge, leading the brand’s digital transformation, enhancing its online and offline presence, and integrating the spirit and energy of professional athlete teams into the heart of the brand. This journey was a profound chapter in my career, highlighting the impact of strategic agility and creative vision in turning around and elevating a brand within the highly competitive world of motocross and mountain biking apparel and accessories.
